I’m Danielle K. White, founder of ISLA Hand Tied Hair and the creator of the Natural Beaded Rows® (NBR) method. I’ve spent over 20 years behind the chair—working long hours, building a clientele, chasing growth… all while dealing with baby fine, fragile hair of my own.
After my first two daughters, my hair started thinning dramatically.
There were bald spots. Breakage. I couldn’t wear most extensions—they made it worse.
Back then, the only hair options were cheap, bulky, and damaging.
They didn’t blend. They didn’t last. And they didn’t serve the kind of client experience I wanted to offer.
So I created ISLA.
